Gayle Berry is a global expert in parent and baby wellness, specializing in the science of co-regulation, nervous system development, and the first 1,000 days. She is the founder of Blossom & Berry, a global teacher training school that has trained over 2,000 baby massage and baby yoga practitioners across 40+ countries, and Here Mama, the first digital platform built on the neuroscience of co-regulation for mothers and babies.
She is the author of two books on baby massage, a TEDx speaker (Why Love and Nurturing Care Matters in the First 1,001 Days, Brighton, 1,800-person audience), and the founder of the international charity Love Support Unite, which has supported mother and baby health for vulnerable families in Malawi for over ten years.
She is also a mother of three, all born within three and a half years.
I am a global expert in parent and baby wellness, specializing in the science of co-regulation, nervous system development, and secure attachment in the first 1,000 days.
For over twenty-three years, I have taught parents, teachers, and practitioners across the world one truth grounded in both ancient wisdom and modern neuroscience, that love, given consciously and consistently in the earliest years of a child’s life, builds the architecture of their brain, nervous system, and capacity for secure attachment.
I call this philosophy Love Creates Love.
It is both an ancient truth and a modern one, held in the science of the first 1,000 days of life, in the research of co-regulation and attachment, and in the wisdom of the mothers who came before us.
I am the founder of Blossom & Berry, the international baby massage and baby yoga teacher training school I began over two decades ago. Through Blossom & Berry, I have trained over 2,000 teachers across 40+ countries, building a global community of practitioners teaching the science of touch, presence, and co-regulation in the first 1,000 days.
I am the author of two books drawn from decades of teaching: The Baby Massage Handbook and Baby Massage: Expert Advice at Your Fingertips.
I am a TEDx speaker. In Brighton, before an audience of 1,800, I delivered my talk, Why Love and Nurturing Care Matters in the First 1,001 Days, a quiet invitation to reframe the earliest years of life as the foundation of everything that follows.
I have worked with many of the world’s most trusted parenting brands, including Channel Mum, Palmer’s, and Huggies.
I support the international charity Love Support Unite, which has cared for mother and baby health for vulnerable families in Malawi for over ten years.
And now, with everything I have learned, taught, and lived, I have founded Here Mama.
Here Mama is the first digital platform built on the neuroscience of co-regulation for mothers and babies in the first 1,000 days. A home for babies who thrive on calm, connection, and joyful presence, and for the mothers who hold them, who long to feel calmer, more confident, and less alone.
I speak on stages, at conferences, and in private gatherings on the following. Each one is rooted in the same quiet truth, that love, done well, changes everything.
The neuroscience of the first 1,000 days: how 75% of a baby’s brain develops before age 2, and why co-regulation between mother and baby builds the foundation for lifelong emotional health, secure attachment, and resilience. First delivered as a TEDx talk in Brighton to 1,800 attendees.
The neuroscience of how a mother’s regulated nervous system becomes her baby’s foundation. Why co-regulation matters more than performance milestones, and how ancient practices of touch, breath, and presence build optimal nervous system development. The core Here Mama framework for parenting summits, wellness conferences, and public health gatherings.
How the modern parenting industry has created a culture of performance pressure, milestone tracking, and maternal anxiety, and why the science actually supports presence over perfection. A research-backed case for stepping outside the fear machine and returning to the practices that support nervous system development and secure attachment.
How baby massage, rooted in ancient Indian tradition, is now proven by modern research to support nervous system regulation, improve digestion, strengthen attachment, and reduce stress hormones in both mother and baby. Twenty-three years of global teaching experience, presented with clinical evidence from the Touch Research Institute and respect for cultural lineage.
Why the constant tracking of baby’s sleep, feeds, and milestones may actually dysregulate the mother’s nervous system, and how that affects the baby. The neuroscience of why presence and attunement matter more than data, and how to parent without the performance anxiety of the ‘KPI culture.
